Golem is a decentralized computing network that ties all its participants resources into a supercomputer. Anyone can join in and rent out unused computing resources to others that require them for com
plex computations and tasks.
The Golem ecosystem can be used by anyone whose computer requires additional resources to perform or speed up intensive calculations in fields such as AI, machine learning and more. GNT is the native token of this ecosystem , and when you want to rent some computational resources, you pay in GNT. The person that offers the resources is also paid in GNT.
In order for the spare resources to go where they are needed, Golem offers a series of templates that fill in the necessary code of the required task. Currently you are not able to deviate from these templates, however in the future you will be able to code the task yourself to suit your needs.
Similar to Uber and Airbnb, Golem shows what is possible when you create a wide network of participants. Costs go down, new possibilities appear and all users benefit from the platform, reducing the need for centralized parties and creating a shared economy.
